I have my BED in foundation phase teaching and would like to study further to enable me to teach intermediate and senior primary phase.
What course should I look at?
You would have to study Bed in INTERMEDIATE PHASE TEACHING.
The B Ed Intermediate Phase specialisation equips graduates to teach from Grade 4 – 7 in primary schools. The course requires every primary school teacher to be able to teach competently across a range of subjects, including English and additional Languages and Mathematics. For this reason, students study languages and mathematics and how to teach them in all four years of the degree.
Students specialising in the Intermediate Phase are also introduced to the knowledge, skills and methodology of how to teach Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, the Arts, Life Skills and Economic management Sciences.
